Montelukast 5mg is a medicine used to help prevent asthma symptoms and relieve symptoms of allergic rhinitis, such as sneezing, runny nose and nasal congestion.

Take orally once daily, as prescribed by a doctor. Follow the recommended instructions on the package. The 5mg strength is commonly intended for children aged 6–14 years.

• Not intended for treating sudden asthma attacks. May cause headache, stomach discomfort or sleep disturbances. Montelukast may cause mood or behavioural changes, including serious mental health effects. Seek medical advice if these occur.
